A virtual review by experts of Aura’s August 2023 issue was organised by Aura Readers Club Tamil Nadu on 23rd August 2023.

Ably convened by Ruqiya Tasneem, the program was a lively and constructive discussion between the Aura team and the expert reviewers from Tamil Nadu. The program was kicked off with a beautiful recitation from the Quran by Sister Shareeka and the guests were welcomed by Sister Maimoona Bushra.

Shayma, the sub-editor gave an introductory address, and the presidential address was delivered by Rahamathunnissa A, chief editor. Both speakers summed up and highlighted the vision behind Aura and its current plans.

The line-up of speakers included esteemed leaders, academics, professionals and writers from all walks of life – including Dr Neena Gayatri, Sr Faraah Sheriff, Sr Mubeen Irshad, Dr Sr Meenakshi, Sr Mudassira Shafi, Sr Rev Lydia Latha, and Sr Suhana Rani Benya. The reviewers took up individual articles and commented on Aura’s overall look and feel. They gave valuable suggestions on the improvements that can be incorporated into the magazine for the future and particularly appreciated some columns.
