This is a very special issue of Aura e Magazine that we present before you, our readers. On March 2nd 2021, Aura came out with its first issue, on the question of women’s leadership. Today, we complete one year, and 13 issues. Our contributors have written extensively, sharply and with depth about issues such as education, women’s rights, family systems, religious beliefs, environmental degradation, children’s lives…The list is almost endless. It has been an exciting journey and an honour to feature many first time writers, poets and artists; as well as to get to speak to many celebrated and distinguished public personalities who gave their time for us.
Aura is nothing without its readers and contributors. At a time when it is becoming increasingly harder to speak the truth and commit to honest journalism, Aura’s contributors have done so and chosen us to be a platform for their voices. For an unknown magazine to start from scratch and receive the immense support that it has, provides the energy to keep going and work towards a better magazine with a brighter future.
At Aura, our motto is to never be satisfied with the work that we do. We hope to be more creative and full of zeal in the coming year, and go above & beyond. For that, we need your support, critique, suggestions and comments to shape our magazine into a foremost space for women’s voices and women’s issues to take spotlight, in an unbiased and grounded manner.
More than 200 writers have chosen Aura to be their space. We hope that you, dear reader, will support us in the future as well. It is said that heard melodies are sweet, but those unheard are sweeter. The days and years to come hold immense hope, and we step into our second year as a publication with the dream that we will grow and flourish, and so will our readers, contributors and supporters.
