Moral health of the individual and the morally healthy family and health of the family determine society’s well-being, vitality, and success. The Prophet, peace be upon him, set the best examples before society.

Professor Abdul Mughni says,

“For this purpose, he ﷺ naturally and rationally improved the role of women, making them true partners in advancing the lofty mission divinely interested to him. He married women to maintain the house and train them as mothers of the faithful.”

Ummul Mumineen Aisha (RA)

She was the most talented and sharp-witted wife of the Prophet ﷺ. Being married to the Prophet ﷺ at a very young age, she survived him for a long time.

Knowledge and acquaintance

As narrated by Mu’awiya (RA) “I heard Allah’s Messenger saying if Allah wants to do good to a person, He makes him comprehend the religion.”

This Hadith underscores the profound blessing of Allah granting knowledge of the religion. It prompts us to consider and impart the immense value of those who possess this knowledge to others, thereby establishing a foundation of values that guide countless lives. One can easily estimate the greatest of Aisha (RA) in the light of this hadith. Allah the exalted chose her to teach and guide the greatest of sahaba during the early period of Hijrah. She was the foremost teacher on matters concerning women; people would frequently ask her various questions about their personal lives and religious matters and she consistently provided the best guidance. The Prophet ﷺ himself sought her counsel on significant issues and even after his passing, his Companions continued to approach her for guidance and instruction.

There is a unique aspect of Aisha RA that is not found in the biographies of other esteemed wives of the prophet ﷺ. Allah chose her to exemplify the highest standards and establish jurisprudence. For instance, a few verses from Surah An Noor were revealed to the Prophet ﷺ to affirm her sincerity and purity, alongside numerous laws addressing issues such as Hudood (punitive laws), including those related to Tehreem, Ifk, Hijab, Zina, and more.

Beyond her distinguished role as a teacher, Muhadditha (scholar of hadith), and Faqih (scholar of Islamic Jurisprudence) at a remarkably young age, her courage and fortitude during wars stand out prominently. She actively participated in the wars, offering medical care and assistance to the injured. Notably, she demonstrated exceptional leadership by commanding an entire Muslim army during the battle of Jamal. These actions underscore bravery, unwavering perseverance and steadfast dedication to the cause of Allah the Almighty.

All these attributes collectively define the epitome of a free, intellectual and courageous woman. Her exemplary life is a powerful testament to the potential and strength of intellectually and spiritually profound women. May Allah be pleased with her.
